New Associate Membership Opportunities

Glen of the Downs Golf Club are currently inviting applications for 7 Day and 5 Day Associate Membership. This Associate Membership will be available for the period of three calendar years from 1^st January 2010.

7 Day Associate Membership 2011

      Membership Privileges:

• GUI/ILGU Handicap
• Play golf Monday - Sunday
• Play in all competitions
• Participate in Club Matchplay events
• Eligible for inclusion on inter-club teams
• Avail of members guest rates Monday – Sunday

• Members in this category have the same playing rights as Full Members
•       (Preference Shareholders or their Nominees), with the following exclusions:

• The membership will be avilable until 31^st December 2012, subject to payments of all
•       Annual Subscriptions   and fees etc that are levied for the class of membership.
• Will have no right to appoint a nominee to play instead of them as a playing member.
• Will have no right to attend or vote at any meetings held by the Ladies’/Men’s Clubs, the
•       Joint Club or Company either ordinary or extraordinary.
• Will have no right to be elected to or co-opted to be a member of any committee or
•       sub-committee of the Ladies’/Men’s or Joint Clubs.

5 Day Associate Membership 2011

      Membership Privileges:

• Play in all club competitions held Monday – Friday
• Participate in 5 day Club Matchplay events
• Eligible for inclusion on inter-club teams
• Avail of members guest rates Monday – Friday

• Members in this category have the same playing rights as Full Members
•       (Preference Shareholders or their Nominees), with the following exclusions:

• The membership will be available until 31^st December 2012, subject to payments of all
•       Annual Subscriptions and fees etc that are levied for the class of membership.
• Will have no right to appoint a nominee to play instead of them as a playing member.
• Will have no right to attend or vote at any meetings held by the Ladies’/Men’s Clubs, the
•       Joint Club or  Company either ordinary or extraordinary.
• Will have no right to be elected to or co-opted to be a member of any committee or

• Will not be entitled to play in competitions on Saturdays and Sundays and will be required to
•       pay an associate members green fee on those days.
